Additional Course Information
Complete this 6-hour, Alberta-approved online defensive driving course at your own pace. It helps Alberta drivers reduce 3 demerit points from their license. Eligible Alberta drivers who successfully complete the course can submit their completion documents to an Alberta registry agent and request a reduction of up to 3 demerit points.
This program contains audio, video and interactive exercises. If you are looking for a comprehensive defensive driving program that also is approved for demerit reduction, then this is it.
The course must be completed within two (2) years from the official start date. All required coursework, assessments, and any other completion requirements must be fulfilled within this two-year period.
A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to qualify for a 3 demerit point reduction from an Alberta operator’s license. If 80% or greater is not achieved, you will be allowed to re-attempt the exam after a 24 hour cooldown period. These secondary attempts are manually issued during business hours only. Should you be unsuccessful at the second attempt, you will be required to repurchase the course.
